Position Overview
We are seeking skilled Registered Nurses to join our Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) team. The ideal candidates will have a minimum of three years of experience in pre-operative and PACU settings. This position offers various shifts from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a guaranteed 36 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care in the PACU setting.
- Monitor and assess patients recovering from anesthesia, ensuring safety and comfort.
- Conduct thorough assessments and develop appropriate care plans.
- Collaborate with surgical and medical teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Float to other PACU areas as needed, within the same patient population.
Qualifications
- Current RN license in good standing.
- Minimum of three years of nursing experience, with a focus on pre-operative and PACU care.
- Ability to work adaptable schedules, including various shifts.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR), preferably EPIC.
- Ability to manage patient ratios of 1:2.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in a surgical setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

- The PACU environment involves caring for surgical patients as they recover from anesthesia.
