Job Description

The Staff Registered Nurse provides direct patient care, developing individualized care plans to meet the specific needs of patients. Key responsibilities include:

• Assessing patient conditions, administering treatments and medications, and monitoring outcomes.
• Collaborating with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families to ensure quality care.
• Delivering patient education, health counseling, and discharge planning.
• Practicing within the Ohio RN scope of practice and nursing standards.
• Recognizing and responding to patient complications and changes in condition.
• Supervising and delegating appropriate nursing tasks while maintaining accountability for patient care.
• Ensuring patient safety, confidentiality, and compliance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.

This position reports directly to the Department Manager with oversight from Nursing Leadership.

Ideal Candidate

• Active RN license.
• 3+ years of nursing experience.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Experience providing patient-centered care and managing multiple priorities.
• Commitment to patient safety, quality outcomes, and professional nursing standards.
• Nurse to patient ratio is 1:5, flexed to 1:6, providing care to patients at both therapy and PCU levels.

Shift Information

• Night Shift (7pm - 7am)
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• No holiday coverage required

Required Certifications

• ACLS
• BLS/BCLS

Familiarity with EPIC and Pyxis is preferred, but training will be provided. HARP/CPI experience is also preferred, with training available.
