Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) position is open for a dynamic healthcare professional to join the Med-Surg Ortho/Neuro Unit. This role primarily focuses on providing high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced environment.
Shift Information
The RN will work a day shift from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with a schedule that includes every other weekend. There is no on-call requirement for this role.
Job Responsibilities
- Deliver holistic care to patients in the Med-Surg Ortho/Neuro Unit.
- Occasionally float between other Med-Surg units, including Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, and Observation.
- Conduct patient assessments and formulate care plans.
- Utilize Epic EMR effectively while maintaining patient records.
- Monitor telemetry settings and respond to changes in patient conditions.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of recent Telemetry and/or Stepdown experience.
- Ability to read telemetry is essential; competency will be evaluated on the first day of work.
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Current proficiency in Epic EMR is mandatory; refresher courses or one-on-one assistance are not available.
Additional Information
Holiday coverage is required for this position, ensuring that patient care and staffing needs are adequately met throughout the year.
