Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Cath Lab Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in cardiac catheterization and a strong commitment to providing exceptional patient care. This position requires participation in on-call rotations and the ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Perform cardiac catheterization procedures under the direction of a physician.
• Assist in the preparation and positioning of patients for various procedures.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and provide immediate care as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in the cath lab.
• Collaborate with medical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Ensure all necessary equipment is ready and functioning prior to procedures.
• Document patient information and procedures accurately in the electronic health record.
• Float to sister facilities as needed to support the overall operational needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 months of experience in cardiac catheterization is required; 2 years preferred.
• Cath Lab experience with a focus on scrub technologist responsibilities is essential.
• National certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Technologist (RCVT) is preferred.
• AHA ACLS and BLS certifications are required; RCIS certification is also preferred.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends, as discussed with management.
• Must be nicotine-free; pre-employment drug screening required.

Work Schedule

This position is a day shift, with options for 4x10-hour shifts. Guaranteed hours range from 36 for 12-hour shifts to 40 for 8/10-hour shifts.
