Description
We are seeking a qualified Outpatient Nursing Services (OPNS) Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) with specialized skills to provide care in an outpatient setting. The role includes responsibilities in infusion therapy, chemotherapy, and some wound care, allowing for the cultivation of meaningful patient relationships. The ideal candidate will be adaptable and willing to perform a broad range of nursing duties in a rural healthcare environment.
Shift Information
Day shift, 8 AM - 5 PM
Minimum Qualifications
- Current Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Provider certification required
- Active and unrestricted RN license in Utah or a compact state
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
- Wound Care certification preferred but not required
- Knowledge of infection control principles, patient safety techniques, and medication/treatment adverse reaction prevention
- Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to adapt to rapidly changing situations
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, including oral, written, and listening abilities
- Ability to manage sensitive information professionally while maintaining confidentiality
- Composed and professional demeanor in stressful situations
- Reliable and punctual work schedule
- Flexibility and willingness to take on additional duties as assigned
- Full COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption required
