Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) to join our float pool team. This position requires flexibility as the selected candidate will float between various critical care units, including CVICU, NICU, and PICU.
Start Date
This assignment is set to commence on September 28, 2026, and will conclude on March 27, 2027.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the healthcare team, patients, and families to promote patient health.
- Deliver professional nursing care tailored to the patient’s age and condition, following documented nursing and medical plans.
- Maintain adherence to evidence-based nursing practices and regulatory standards.
Requirements
Experience
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in pediatric critical care.
- Experience in a Level III or IV NICU is preferred.
- Prior experience in a children's hospital is advantageous.
Education
- Possession of a two-year (ADN) degree in nursing, a four-year (BSN) degree in nursing, or a Diploma in Nursing.
Certifications
- Current State of Arizona RN license or a valid RN license from a compact state, with multistate privileges, or the ability to establish Arizona licensure before the start date.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association.
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Current Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
Additional Information
COVID-19 vaccination is recommended but not required. Influenza vaccination will be mandatory from October through April. Exemption applications must be submitted and approved prior to beginning employment. Employees not vaccinated for COVID-19 or influenza must sign Declination & Masking Protocol agreements and are required to wear masks during the respiratory virus season.
This position offers opportunities to work day and night shifts, with shift assignments determined during the interview process. Any requested time off discussed in the interview will be subject to pre-approval.
