Job Description
This position involves delivering professional nursing care to patients, collaborating effectively with the healthcare team, patients, and families. The focus is on promoting patient health in accordance with evidence-based nursing practices and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care appropriate to patient age and condition.
- Document care in alignment with nursing and medical plans.
- Promote a healthy environment by participating in infection control measures.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
- Float between multiple locations, including NICU and PICU as needed.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Registered Nurse in pediatric CVICU.
- Experience preferred in a facility with a Level III or IV NICU.
- Proficiency in floating to NICU and PICU settings is strongly preferred.
- Experience in a children's healthcare environment is advantageous.
Education Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
Certification and License Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse license in Arizona or multistate privileges.
- Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association.
- Current PALS certification from the American Heart Association.
- NRP certification is preferred.
Additional Information
COVID-19 vaccination is recommended but not mandatory. Flu vaccination is required from October through April, with exemption applications needing approval prior to starting. Unvaccinated individuals for either Flu or COVID-19 must sign Declination & Masking Protocol agreements and wear masks throughout the respiratory virus season.
This role requires flexibility, including availability for both day and night shifts. Shift assignments will be determined during the interview process, and only time-off requests discussed in the interview will be pre-approved.
