Description
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in pediatric cardiovascular intensive care units (CVICU) to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will collaborate with healthcare professionals, as well as patients and their families, to promote patient health through the delivery of professional nursing care that aligns with evidence-based practices and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients in the CVICU.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Ensure adherence to nursing and medical plans of care in accordance with hospital goals and values.
- Float between CVICU, NICU, and PICU as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients and families about care procedures and goals.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in pediatric CVICU.
- Experience in a Level III or IV NICU environment is highly preferred.
- Experience floating to NICU and PICU is required.
- Children’s hospital experience is a plus.
Education Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
Certification and Licensing
- Current RN license in Arizona or a compact state with multistate privileges.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association.
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification is preferred.
Additional Information
COVID-19 vaccination is recommended, while flu vaccination is required during the flu season (October through April). Exemption applications must be submitted and approved prior to starting. Unvaccinated individuals will need to comply with masking protocols during respiratory virus seasons. All scheduling of shifts will be managed during the interview process and any requested time-off must be discussed during that time.
