Description
This position is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), as well as floating to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). The ideal candidate will collaborate with the healthcare team, patients, and families to promote overall patient health through evidence-based nursing practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver professional nursing care tailored to the age and condition of patients.
- Utilize evidence-based standards in the development and implementation of nursing and medical care plans.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in patient and family education to support health management.
- Float between NICU, PICU, and CVICU as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a NICU setting.
- Experience in PICU and CVICU is required.
- Experience in a facility with a Level III or IV NICU is strongly preferred.
- Previous experience in a children's healthcare environment is preferred.
- Education: Associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing is required.
- Licensure: Current RN license in Arizona or compact state with multistate privileges, or the ability to establish licensure according to Arizona law prior to the start date.
- Certifications:
- Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association.
- Current PALS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Current Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
Additional Information:
COVID-19 vaccination is recommended but not required. Flu vaccination is mandatory from October through April, with exemptions processed prior to the start date. Non-vaccinated individuals will be required to adhere to masking protocols during the respiratory virus season.
