Shift: 7:15 AM to 3:45 PM with 1 rotating day of 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM; or 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

Unit Information

• Unit Name: Endoscopy – GI/ENDO RN
• Unit Description: 7 procedure rooms with 4 for Monitored Anesthesia Care (MAC) and 3 for Conscious Sedation procedures, along with holding and recovery rooms. Open weekdays, with additional on-call requirements for evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Clinician to Patient Ratio: 1:1 in procedure rooms; 1:2-3 in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
• Patient Population: Diverse.
• Bed Count: 18 PACU bays, 8 procedural rooms.
• Census: 60-70 procedures per day.

Experience and Qualifications

• Years of Experience Required: Minimum of 2-3 years working in one location; and 2 years working as a Traveler.
• Skill Sets Required: Proficiency in GI Technician Endoscopy, Olympus scope setup, handling, and reprocessing.
• Certifications Required: Active RN license in Massachusetts, BLS, ACLS. SGNA or CBSPD certification strongly preferred.

Additional Information

• EMR System: EPIC.
• Rotating Shifts Required: Yes, depending on hours; the department operates from 6:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
• Floating Required: No.
