Job Description

The Registered Nurse is a professional caregiver responsible for providing both direct and indirect care for a designated group of patients, spanning across various age populations. The role involves utilizing the nursing process, which includes: assessment of biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, educational, and discharge planning factors.

The Registered Nurse will plan and prescribe nursing interventions, implement these plans, and evaluate the care provided, all while adhering to unit and hospital policies and procedures. The individual in this role should demonstrate an understanding of growth and development principles across the lifespan and possess the ability to assess and interpret relevant data to formulate comprehensive and effective care plans.

Shift and Availability

• Shift Hours: 0648-1918 (3 days a week)
• Weekend Requirements: None
• On Call Requirements: Wednesday from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room experience - REQUIRED
• BLS certification from AHA - REQUIRED
• ACLS certification - REQUIRED
• Travel experience - PREFERRED

Additional Requirements

• Michigan nursing license verification is required. Candidates should provide LARA and Nursys. If there is a license issue, a brief explanation should be prepared for manager review.
• Completion of a skills checklist within one year of application for RN specialties is required.
• Active nursing license at the time of application is necessary.
