Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Imaging Support IR Tech to join our team. This position involves playing an active role in the workflow of vascular interventional radiology procedures. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in vascular/IR settings and demonstrate the ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with a diverse team.
Contract Details
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Open to later start dates
- Shifts: 5x8-hour or 4x10-hour schedules
- Day Shift: 07:30 - 16:00
- Rotating on-call duty every 4th week
Licensure Requirements
- BLS and ARRT certification required
- Virginia (VA) license required; can submit with application pending. Eligible for temporary licensure if already licensed in another state.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with case preparation by pulling inventory and ordering cases in EPIC prior to procedures.
- Operate the table and controls during procedures.
- Perform 3D spins and work with fusion technology.
- Be actively engaged during procedures, including filming and post-processing images.
- Utilize HI-IQ to document and track inventory used during procedures.
- Collaborate closely with vascular surgeons, OR team, and other procedural team members.
- Support simple surgical cases in downtime by utilizing a C-arm and assisting the X-ray staff with procedures such as Impellas and cystoscopies.
Qualifications
- Strong experience in vascular and interventional radiology.
- Familiarity with hybrid OR procedures is highly desired.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Comfort in actively participating in the entire case workflow, beyond merely operating equipment.
