Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Imaging Support IR Technologist to provide essential support in the operating room during vascular interventional procedures. The ideal candidate will be involved throughout the entire case workflow and possess strong experience in vascular imaging.
Essential Responsibilities
- Pulling inventory and ordering cases in EPIC prior to procedures.
- Operating the equipment and controls during procedures.
- Performing 3D spins and working with fusion technology.
- Actively engaging in the procedure room, including filming and post-processing images.
- Utilizing HI-IQ to document and manage inventory used during cases.
- Collaborating closely with vascular surgeons, operating room team, and other procedural team members.
- Supporting simple surgical cases during downtime, utilizing a C-arm alongside X-ray staff for procedures such as Impellas and cystoscopies.
Qualifications
- Experience in vascular and interventional radiology.
- Familiarity with hybrid operating room procedures.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative within the procedure room.
- Active engagement and comfort in all aspects of case workflow.
Licensure and Certifications
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required.
- Virginia state license required (pending applications accepted; must be eligible for temporary licensure if licensed in another state).
Work Schedule
This position requires 5x8 hour shifts from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with rotating call every fourth week. Candidates should be open to later start dates as needed.
Additional Information
The role involves a 50-mile radius rule for local staff, and the initial assignment will be for 13 weeks.
