Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Oncology Registered Nurse for our Infusion Center. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in oncology and infusion therapies, providing high-quality patient care within a collaborative team environment.
Shift Details
- Schedule: 4x10 Days (07:00 - 17:30)
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Floating: Required within specialty and acuity
Patient Care Responsibilities
The Oncology Registered Nurse will be responsible for:
- Administering chemotherapy, electrolytes, and blood products to patients.
- Providing care to add-on patients or those requiring provider assessment in connection with an oncology urgent care unit.
- Monitoring patients’ conditions and responding to their needs effectively.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation using EPIC.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in oncology and infusion nursing.
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required.
- Chemotherapy certification (ONS/ONCC) preferred.
- First-time travelers are welcome, provided they have strong oncology and infusion experience.
Key Skills
- Clinical expertise in administering oncology treatments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems, particularly EPIC.
