About this Position

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. This position involves working with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients in the emergency department.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and manage patient care in the emergency department.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record.
• Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families.

Position Details

• Shift: 3x12 hours, Days (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM), varied days of the week
• Weekend Requirement: Yes
• Floating Requirement: No

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience is required, with emergency room experience being a must.
• Licensure: Valid South Carolina RN license or Multistate/Compact RN license.
• Certifications: Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS. CPI and TNCC are preferred.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Epic electronic health record system is required.

Miscellaneous Information

• Local candidates may not be accepted.
• RTO (Request Time Off) must be provided at the time of application submission.
• Guaranteed hours may be subject to cancellation of one shift every two weeks.
• Free parking is provided at the facility.

Important Considerations

During hurricane season (June to November), all personnel may be assigned to emergency response duties. Candidates should consider their availability for this requirement.
