We are seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our team in the Operating Room (OR). This position requires expertise in surgical procedures and the ability to assist in various capacities within the operating room environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the operating room for surgical procedures.
• Assist the surgical team during operations by providing necessary instruments and supplies.
• Ensure a sterile field is maintained throughout surgical procedures.
• Monitor and maintain the functionality of surgical equipment.
• Participate in cases related to total joint replacement.
• Occasionally assist in endoscopic procedures as required.
• Float to other facilities when needed for surgeries, approximately 21 miles away.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of current experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST).
• Experience in precepting other surgical technology staff.
• Proficient in total joint replacement surgical procedures.
• Certified by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
• Experience in endoscopy procedures is required.
• Possess an active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Must have reliable transportation as public transport is not available in the area.

Schedule

This full-time position consists of an 8-hour shift, Monday through Friday. Availability during holidays is required, specifically for two blocks that include:

• Thanksgiving Day and the following Friday.
• Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and the weekend following.
• New Year’s Eve through New Year’s Day and the weekend following.
