Job Description
As a Certified Surgical Tech, you will play a pivotal role in supporting surgical teams by preparing for and assisting with a variety of surgical procedures across multiple specialties. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining a safe and efficient operating room environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and organization of the surgical environment to ensure the safety and efficiency of operations.
- Provide support during surgical procedures, including passing instruments and ensuring a sterile field.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthetists, and nursing staff to facilitate successful surgical outcomes.
- Participate in the maintenance of surgical instruments and equipment, ensuring proper sterilization and readiness for use.
- Monitor and uphold surgical protocols to ensure patient safety and adherence to best practices.
Shift Details
This position involves three 12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM, with one night of call per week and requirements for one weekend of Saturday and Sunday from 7 AM to 7 PM each month. A call response time of 20 minutes is expected.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Certified Surgical Tech.
- Experience in orthopedic, neurological, general, robotic, urology, gynecological, and endovascular/vascular procedures is required.
- Experience in ENT procedures is preferred.
- Current BLS (AHA) certification is required.
Attendance Policy
Our facility adheres to a strict attendance policy to ensure high-quality patient care. Any contractor who is absent from a scheduled shift or arrives more than 20 minutes late for their scheduled shift three times will be terminated immediately, unless due to communicable disease or hospitalization with supporting evidence.
