Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide exceptional care within a critical environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering respiratory therapy services to patients, including those in critical care units.

Shift Details

• Shift Type: Night
• Schedule: 3x12 Hour Shifts (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM)
• Holiday Rotation: Yes
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments to patients as per physician orders.
• Monitor and evaluate patient responses to therapy and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Float to various departments within the facility, including labor and delivery, as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent critical care experience.
• Current South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider (RCP) license required at the time of commencement.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS, and National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) RRT certification must be current upon start.
• CRT candidates will not be considered; RRT only.

Miscellaneous Information

• No block scheduling available.
• Local travel radius: 60 miles; no local candidates accepted.
• Guaranteed Hours: The facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks.
• Free parking available on-site.

Note on Hurricane Season

During hurricane season (June to November), all employees may be assigned to emergency response teams as needed. Travelers should be aware of this requirement when considering assignment during peak hurricane activity in August and September.
