Description
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a step-down/med-surg overflow position. This role requires a strong background in neuro care within a Level I trauma environment.
Job Details
- Start Date: ASAP
- Shift: Days (3x12-hour shifts, 07:00 - 19:00)
- Weekly Hours: 36 or 48 hours, schedule may change based on staffing needs
Patient Care Ratios
The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:12 as part of a team nursing approach, which includes:
- 2 Registered Nurses (RNs)
- 2 Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs)
- Medication Nurse
- Charge Nurse
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience in a similar environment
- Experience in a Level I Trauma Center is required
- Prior travel nursing experience is necessary
- Experience in large hospital settings is preferred
- All candidates must have a valid nursing license in compliance with NLC guidelines
Schedule Requirements
- Rotation for weekends and on-calls as needed
- No block scheduling; however, weekend blocks may be considered
- Local candidates are not accepted; a 100-mile radius rule applies
