Description
The Physical Therapist is responsible for delivering skilled physical therapy services in line with state and federal regulations as well as facility guidelines. The role involves patient evaluation, the development of individualized treatment plans, and the provision of direct therapy to enhance function and mobility.
Responsibilities
- Screen, evaluate, and treat patients as appropriate.
- Develop and update treatment and discharge plans of care.
- Document services accurately and in a timely manner.
- Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) and Rehabilitation Technicians as per practice acts.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams and families.
- Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an APTA-accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT/MSPT/BSPT).
- Active state Physical Therapist license (or eligibility to obtain).
- Strong communication, documentation, and clinical skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to varying facilities, schedules, and patient needs.
