Unit Description
Join a Medical Rehabilitation Unit within a Trauma setting, specializing in the rehabilitation of patients, primarily focusing on stroke recovery. The unit accommodates a maximum of five patients per therapist daily, with an average of three to four patients receiving individualized treatment, each session lasting up to 90 minutes.
Job Details
- Schedule: 5x8 Days, Monday to Friday, with shifts from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Patient Ratios: 1:5 therapist to patient ratio
- Experience Requirement: Minimum of 1 year in physical therapy
- First-time Travelers: Accepted
- Certifications Required: BLS certification
- Weekend Requirement: None
- On-Call Requirement: None
- Float Requirement: None
- Pending State License: Accepted; however, West Virginia PT licensure is mandatory prior to start
- RTO Restrictions: None
- Special Requirements: None
Attire
Therapists may wear any color scrubs except blue, forest green, or maroon, as these are designated for nursing staff. The unit provides T-shirts that can be customized.
Charting System
Documentation is conducted using the Cerner charting system.
Vaccination Requirements
- Flu Vaccine: Required unless a medical exemption is documented
- Covid Vaccine: Not required
