Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care within the emergency department, adhering to hospital policies and procedures. This role requires expertise in emergency care and the ability to respond to various patient needs efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver nursing care within the assigned unit scope of practice.
Follow nursing process guidelines and standards of care.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure patient safety and effective treatment plans.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Participate in ongoing professional development and education.

Shift and Weekend Requirements

Work shifts from 19:00 to 07:30, with a guarantee of 36 hours per week.
Required to work holidays.
Each nurse will be needed every other weekend.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an emergency room setting.
Current Michigan state nursing license.

Certifications

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
Basic Life Support (BLS - AHA)
