Job Summary
The vascular technologist is a diagnostic ultrasound professional qualified through credentialing, academic, and clinical experience to perform diagnostic vascular ultrasound and related procedures. This role operates under the guidance of a supervisor/technical director to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and meets all established policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Job Qualifications
- Education: Graduate from an accredited institution. Must be registered through ARDMS with RVT certification (preferred) or through CCI with RVS certification, completed within 90 days of hire. A minimum of 15 hours of Continuing Medical Education (CME) is required every three years in compliance with IAC standards.
- Experience: Minimum of two years of experience under the supervision of a qualified vascular physician or vascular laboratory is preferred.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills; effective problem-solving abilities; capable of managing multiple priorities; ability to make independent decisions.

Essential Job Functions
- Performs diagnostic vascular examinations as ordered by physicians.
- Operates laboratory equipment safely and effectively.
- Utilizes medical record and imaging systems appropriately.
- Safely transports, moves, and positions patients.
- Assists physicians with special procedures within the vascular lab.
- Promotes positive interpersonal relationships both within the team and with patients.
- Maintains ethical relationships within the workplace.
- Ensures compliance with IAC standards.
- Supports the onboarding and training of new employees and students.
- Maintains a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Assists in maintaining departmental supplies.

- Performs cleaning and disinfection in line with established policies.
- Completes additional related duties as assigned.
Physical Capacity Demand
