Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Medical Neuroscience Progressive Care department. This role requires rotating weekend coverage and the ability to float across multiple locations as needed. First-time travelers are welcome to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care to medical neurological patients in a 30-bed progressive care unit.
• Utilize a centralized cardiac monitoring department for patient surveillance.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• Experience in Neuro Progressive Care Units preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required.
• Proficiency in managing CVA patients, external CPAP/BiPAP, TR band applications, and the Yale Swallowing Screen.
• Prior experience as a Charge Nurse is preferred but not mandatory.

Schedule

This position offers a night shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, with self-scheduling through Optilink for 6-week periods. Flexibility to cover various needs across locations is essential.
