Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cardiovascular Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position involves providing high-quality patient care in a compassionate manner while adhering to established nursing standards and practices.
Requirements
- Current RN Licensure in Washington State or Compact license.
- Experience in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR).
- Maintaining active Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Adherence to nursing regulations and standards of practice.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and deliver patient care using the nursing process effectively.
- Develop, implement, and continuously reassess individualized patient care plans.
- Administer medications and perform nursing procedures and treatments.
- Evaluate discharge plans for appropriateness and educational needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, assessments, and patient responses.
- Conduct holistic assessments of patient status and respond as needed.
- Determine and execute appropriate nursing actions to meet patient care goals.
- Educate patients and families on health information and provide written materials.
- Stay current with workflows, processes, and evidence-based procedures.
- Delegate tasks and supervise care provided by non-licensed personnel.
- Participate in performance evaluation and quality improvement processes.
- Maintain effective communication and collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients and staff according to policies.
Additional Information
The RN will be required to float as a sitter and participate in call rotations, which may include night shifts. The call requirements are a minimum of 14 days in a six-week scheduling period, with a portion of those being weekend days.
