About the Position
This position is for a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The nurse will work night shifts, consisting of four 12-hour shifts per week. The unit focuses on maintaining optimal nurse-to-patient ratios while providing flexibility in staffing as needed.
Shift Details
- Shift: 4x12 hours, Nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
- Ratios: Normal staffing supports a 1:6 ratio; may flex to 1:7 in unplanned absences
- Weekend Requirement: Yes, every other weekend
Floating and Accommodations
- Travelers may be required to float within scope to meet facility needs or between similar units.
- Approval for block schedules can be requested but is not guaranteed.
- Local candidates are not accepted for this position.
Qualifications
- Years of Experience: Prefer at least 2 years of experience in a Medical Surgical setting
- License: South Carolina license or compact license must be obtained prior to start
- Certifications Required: BLS
- Certifications Preferred: ACLS, NIHSS
- Special Requirements: Experience with Epic electronic health record system is essential

Miscellaneous Information
- Facility has a total of 34 staffed beds.
- Free parking is available for all staff.
- During hurricane season (June through November), all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams; consideration of this is advised prior to confirming any assignments during this period.
