Job Description
The Staff Registered Nurse (RN) will manage the delivery of dialysis services and the overall care of patients. Responsibilities include providing education to patients, supervising Dialysis Technicians, adjusting treatment plans based on standing orders and care plans, monitoring patient outcomes, administering medications, participating in quality improvement initiatives, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team, including social workers, dietitians, and nephrologists. This position involves chronic, in-center care and requires flexibility to cover multiple locations within the region, primarily on the peninsula.
Licensure & Certification
- Must hold a current Registered Nurse (RN) license from the State Board of Nursing or a Multi-State Compact Nurse license.
- Current certification of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) with a Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers card from the American Heart Association.
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required.
- Previous dialysis experience is mandatory.
- Prior experience in acute or ambulatory nursing is preferred.
Working Conditions
Flexibility in scheduling is required, with the ability to work any shift during operational hours, which may include 10-13 hour AM and PM shifts. Coverage across multiple locations is required, including Anacortes, Whidbey Island, and occasionally Smokey Point.
