Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac Telemetry

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a dynamic role in our Cardiac Telemetry department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiac care and be skilled in managing a variety of cardiac conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patients with conditions such as chest pain, NSTEMI/STEMI, and heart failure.
• Perform left/right heart catheterizations and transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE).
• Administer cardioversions, stress tests, and manage pacemaker and AICD insertions.
• Provide care for patients experiencing arrhythmias, including atrial fibrillation and tachycardia.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on cardiac health and recovery.

Shift Information

This position requires a commitment to three 12-hour night shifts per week (18:45 - 07:15). Additionally, candidates must be available to float within their scope of practice as needed.

Weekend and Holiday Requirements

Candidates should expect to work every other weekend. Holiday work is also required: if one major holiday falls within the assignment, the candidate is expected to work it. If two major holidays occur, the candidate will work both. Specific major holidays include:

• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving/Black Friday
• Christmas Eve/Christmas Day
• New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in cardiac telemetry or related fields.
• Must hold a valid nursing license and have current certifications as required.
• Experience with AICD and pacemaker insertions preferred.

Compliance and Orientation

Full compliance with onboarding requirements is mandatory for timely start dates. Orientation hours vary based on contract length.
