Unit Overview

The unit specializes in providing care for a variety of cardiac conditions, including but not limited to:

• Chest Pain
• NSTEMI/STEMI
• Left/Right Heart Catheterizations
• Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE)
• Cardioversion Procedures
• Stress Testing
• Pacemaker Management
• Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI)
• Atrial Fibrillation (Afib)
• Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)
• Bradycardia
• AICD Insertion
• Supraventricular Tachycardia (SVT)/Tachycardia

Work Schedule

The position requires availability to work three 12-hour shifts during the day, from 06:45 to 19:15. Weekend shifts will be required every other weekend.

Call Requirements

No call duties are required for this position.

Compliance and Orientation

Full compliance with the facility’s requirements is necessary to start on time. Orientation hours will vary based on the contract length, with a defined number of non-billable hours set for each assignment period.

Holidays

Travelers are expected to work designated major holidays during their assignment, with specific expectations based on the number of holidays that fall within the assignment period. The following are considered major holidays:

• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving/Black Friday
• Christmas Eve/Christmas Day
• New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cardiac telemetry setting.
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this role.

Floating Requirements

Travelers may be asked to float within the facility as necessary and within their scope of practice.
