Position Summary
The Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) will provide nursing care to patients within a behavioral health setting. The position requires a blend of clinical expertise, empathy, and communication to ensure the best outcomes for patients facing mental health challenges.
Shift and Schedule
- 3x12 hour shifts: 7 PM - 7 AM
- Every Other Weekend (EOW) requirement
- Floating between units as needed
- Holidays may be required
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care by assessing and monitoring patients' physical and mental health needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, and educate patients and families about these treatments.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure effective treatment plans.
- Provide crisis intervention and support to patients in distress following best practices in nonviolent crisis intervention.
Qualifications
- Active North Carolina license or multi-state license for registered nurses.
- Minimum of 2 years of behavioral health experience.
- At least 1 year of travel nursing experience.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention.
- Recent experience with EMR systems, specifically EPIC.
- Must reside more than 40 miles from the facility.

Interested candidates must provide a Qualivis Cover Sheet and a current NURSYS report. All requests for time off (RTO) must be submitted with the application profile.
