Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled CVOR Surgical Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience, including Level 1 Trauma experience. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in cardiovascular operating room procedures and have a strong commitment to patient care.
Scheduling Details
- Shift Hours: 0600 - 1630
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- On-Call Requirement: Availability required after shift hours Friday through Sunday, with a minimum of two days on-call each week and 1-2 weekends every 6-week schedule based on need.
- Overtime: Opportunities available each week.
Certification Requirements
- Current BLS certification
- CST certification through NBSTSA
Clinical Skills
- Experience in CVOR
- First Assist capabilities
- Knowledge of procedures including:
- Aortic Aneurysm Repair
- Atherectomy
- ASD Repair
- Cardiomyoplasty
- CABG
- ECMO
- Mitral Valve Replacement
- Pericardial Window
- VAD Management
Unit Details
The position involves working with an average of three cardiovascular cases per day. Floating may be required to other units based on census and only to units for which the candidate is qualified and trained. Candidates may float to the main operating room if CVOR volume is low.
