Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical to join our dynamic team. This position supports the Orthopedic and Joint Replacement Center, focusing on providing high-quality patient care to adults and geriatrics.

Shift Details

Shift: Day shifts available - 3x12 or 4x12 hours (0700 - 1930)
Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend is required
Holiday Requirements: Required as per schedule

Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Medical Surgical setting.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Participate in patient education and support to enhance their recovery experience.
Monitor and assess patient conditions, reporting changes or concerns as necessary.
Perform necessary documentation and maintain patient health records.
Float to other units and sister facilities as needed within the specialty.

Qualifications

Experience: Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required, with a strong background in Medical Surgical and Orthopedic care.
Licensure: Current RN license in the relevant state is required.
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications are preferred.

Patient Care Ratio

Patient nurse ratio is 1:6, allowing for attentive and personalized care.

Additional Information

On-call duties are not required for this position.
