Description
We are seeking a skilled General Radiologic Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in performing radiographic procedures with a focus on patient care and image quality.
Shift Details
- Evenings/Nights
- 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (Friday-Sunday)
- Shift hours: 11:00 PM to 11:30 PM
Qualifications
- ARRT certification required
- Washington State certification as a registered radiologic technologist in X-Ray
- Experience with Shimadzu portable equipment
- Recent experience with Rad speed pro and c-arm in the operating room
- Proficient in EPIC system
- BLS certification
Responsibilities
- Prepare for and conduct a variety of x-ray examinations, including routine, fluoroscopy, operating room, and portable x-rays.
- Operate and utilize all x-ray room and portable equipment, as well as operating room x-ray equipment.
- Develop, initiate, and monitor procedures for effective scanning and imaging.
- Review and evaluate diagnostic images for technical quality.
- Assist Radiologists in fluoroscopic procedures and perform minor fluoroscopic procedures under their direction as per certification.
- Provide direct training and supervision to student technologists.
- Efficiently use PACS, RIS, and current electronic medical records (EMR), completing all necessary paperwork for each examination.
- Comply with continuing education requirements as mandated by relevant regulatory entities.
- Safely lift and transfer patients using ergonomic techniques and available patient handling devices.
- Communicate effectively with patients' family members or caregivers as necessary.
- Maintain knowledge of ALARA principles, Image Gently, and Image Wisely standards.
Additional Information
On-call duties may be required. Candidate must demonstrate a commitment to patient safety and quality care.
