MRI Technologist

Job Description

An MRI Technologist performs magnetic resonance imaging procedures to produce images of the body's internal structures. This role requires proficiency in operating MRI equipment, preparing patients for examinations, and ensuring patient safety and comfort during the imaging process.

Shift Schedule

This position involves a 40-hour work week consisting of the following shifts:

Monday: 11:00 AM - 11:30 PM
Tuesday: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
Friday: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
Saturday: 11:00 AM - 11:30 PM

Qualifications

Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Valid license/certificate as required

Role Responsibilities

The MRI Technologist is responsible for:

Conducting MRI procedures according to established protocols.
Maintaining equipment and ensuring operational efficiency.
Communicating effectively with patients to explain the procedure.
Ensuring adherence to safety protocols and guidelines during imaging.
Documenting and reporting any unusual findings or patient concerns.

This role requires attention to detail, empathy towards patients, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should be prepared to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
