A dedicated and skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse is needed to join our dynamic surgical team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in various surgical procedures and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

Job Description

The Operating Room RN will be responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. This role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and safety in the operating room environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform pre-operative assessments and preparations for surgical patients.
• Assist surgeons and the surgical team during procedures, ensuring aseptic techniques are upheld.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and overall condition throughout the surgical process.
• Provide post-operative care and ensure proper recovery protocols are followed.
• Maintain and manage surgical instruments and equipment effectively.
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures and post-operative care.

Qualifications

• Current RN license is required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required, American Heart Association (AHA) only.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the operating room is required.
• Experience in General Surgery, Cataracts, Robotics, Orthopedics, and GYN procedures is preferred.

Work Schedule

• Day shifts: 4x8-hour shifts (06:30 AM - 03:00 PM)
• No scheduled weekends; weekend call required (currently 1 in 4).
• Holidays as needed.
