Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled CVOR Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care in the Cardiovascular Operating Room, utilizing expertise in circulatory procedures and ensuring patient safety throughout the surgical process.

Key Responsibilities

• Circulate for cardiovascular surgeries, specifically for CABG, valve replacement, TAVR, VATS/thoracotomy, robotic lung procedures, and aneurysms.
• Collaborate with a team of surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in the scheduling of shifts and on-call rotations as part of a team of three nurses.
• Manage and maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
• Provide support and guidance to junior staff and new team members during orientation.
• Participate in ongoing education and skill development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a CVOR setting.
• Current certifications in ACLS and BLS, as per AHA guidelines.
• Ability to circulate outside the CVOR for C-section procedures as needed.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to respond to calls within a 30-minute timeframe.

Work Schedule

This position offers shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional coverage until 5:30 PM. The team will also participate in approximately 10-15 on-call days per month, including weekends and holidays as part of a rotation.

Additional Information

Scrubs will be provided for all staff members, and orientation will last up to 1 week to ensure proper acclimatization to the unit's protocols and practices.
