Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Orthopedic Surgical Technologist (CST) with Level One trauma experience. The ideal candidate will be proficient in scrubbing for complex total joint revisions, robotics, and orthopedic polytraumas while being capable of navigating multiple vendor systems independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub for a variety of orthopedic surgeries, including intricate total joint revisions and robotic-assisted procedures.
• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the operating room, ensuring a sterile environment.
• Collaborate with surgical teams and contribute to efficient surgical operations.
• Understand and utilize various equipment and instrumentation relevant to orthopedic procedures.
• Participate in trauma call as needed, adhering to specialty team protocols.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Level One trauma setting.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) is required.
• Proficiency in scrubbing for orthopedic joint surgeries and trauma.
• Ability to operate with various vendors' equipment independently.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Unit Information

• Operating room with 40 beds and multiple specialties.
• Patient ratios of 1:1, ensuring focused and individualized care.
• Utilization of advanced equipment, including Storz, Stryker, Olympus, and the Intuitive Robot.
• Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system used is Epic.

Work Schedule

• Full-time positions available with weekly guaranteed hours of 36.
• Shifts include 7a-7p for days, 11a-11p for evenings, and 7p-7a for nights.
• Weekend commitment typically every fourth weekend, with 12-hour shifts.
