Overview

We are seeking a skilled Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse to join our team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive patient care in a fast-paced environment. You may be required to float to various units as needed to meet the operational requirements of the facility.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care in medical-surgical and telemetry environments.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs, and ECG rhythms, and provide necessary interventions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Manage medication administration and ensure patient safety.
• Engage with patients and their families, providing education and support.

Shift Information

• Rotating day and night shifts (7pm-7:30am / 7am-7:30pm).
• Holiday work is required, with a commitment to work at least every other holiday.
• Shifts may be variable to accommodate operational needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in the specialty being applied for.
• Valid Ohio license or compact state license required.
• Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) are mandatory.
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation.

Unit Information

The position may involve working in areas including, but not limited to, seizure monitoring, Med/Surg telemetry, and emergency departments.
