Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Med/Surg team. This position requires a strong nursing background and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care and support to individuals in the Med/Surg unit.
Monitor and assess patient conditions and report any changes to the medical team.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Educate patients and their families about health management and post-treatment care.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg experience required.
Current nursing license in Mississippi or a compact license.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
Preferred: 5+ years of Med/Surg experience and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.

Work Schedule

Shifts include four 12-hour shifts one week (48 hours), followed by three 12-hour shifts the next week (36 hours). The typical schedule involves:

4x12 schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday.
3x12 schedule: Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

You will work every other weekend and may be required to work on holidays if they coincide with your scheduled shifts.
