Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with experience in Renal Med Surg to join our team. This position involves providing compassionate care to a patient population that ranges from adults to geriatrics, ensuring their health and well-being throughout their stay.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience; first-time travelers are accepted.
• Charge experience is requested.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

General Skills and Work Setting Requirements

• Experience working in a Med Surg unit.
• Proficient in using Epic for patient record management.
• Familiarity with Pyxis and SBAR communication methods is preferred.

Work Schedule

• Day shifts, 3x12 hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:00.
• Every other weekend required, unless otherwise specified.
• Maximum requested time off (RTO) of 7 days.

Patient Care Ratio

The nurse-to-patient ratio is approximately 1:5-6, with an average daily census of 48 patients across 49 rooms.

Additional Information

• Floating may be necessary within the facility and scope of practice as needed.
• No call requirements are mandated for this position.
• Travelers will be expected to work one major holiday if their assignment includes it and two major holidays if three fall within their assignment period.

• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving/Black Friday
• Christmas Eve/Christmas Day
• New Year's Eve/New Year's Day

Compliance

Full compliance with all requirements is necessary to ensure timely start dates. Any delays will result in a two-week pushback due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule.
