SCHEDULING DETAILS

• Shift Options: 5x8 hour days (7:00 AM - 3:00 PM) or 4x10 hour days (7:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
• Weekly Schedule: 40 hours
• Weekend Requirement: See call schedule
• Call Rotation: Rotation with staff, including four weeknights in a six-week schedule and one weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Must work one holiday or take call during a 13-week contract period
• Requests for Time Off: All requests must be submitted upfront
• Call-Off Policy: Facility may call off one shift every two weeks

LICENSE & CERTIFICATIONS

• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Pending licenses accepted if the candidate holds a single-state license from a non-compact state; otherwise, an active Virginia State or Compact RN license is required

CLINICAL SKILLS REQUIRED

• Experience in respiratory care, including airway management and sedation recovery
• Familiarity with a variety of medical equipment, such as balloon dilators, electrosurgical units, and foreign body equipment
• Proficient in procedures: circulation, colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, esophageal varices banding, and scrubbing
• Ability to function in various settings, including inpatient, outpatient endoscopy centers, and portable/bedside cases
• Skilled in patient monitoring and assessments (lab values, pain management, etc.)
• Competent in interpreting and managing dysrhythmias, specimen handling, and obtaining 12-lead ECGs
• Proficient in starting and maintaining IVs

UNIT DETAILS

The patient population includes a diverse range of individuals: adolescents, neonates, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.
