We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for our MedSurg/PCU department. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and be adaptable to work across various departments as needed.

• 3 years of nursing experience

Certifications/Requirements

• Active Washington State Nursing License
• General Certifications: ACLS, BLS/BCLS

Job Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient education tailored to the needs of patients and their families.
• Ensure patient safety through the implementation of preventative measures including the correct use of side rails, restraints, and medical equipment.
• Demonstrate proficiency in the safe operation and troubleshooting of equipment in the PCU/Telemetry/MedSurg areas.
• Implement infection control and isolation procedures, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to guidelines.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and concise documentation of patient status, nursing interventions, and responses during shifts.
• Accurately document and process physician orders in a timely manner.
• Conduct thorough reviews of patient orders and ensure all necessary checks have been completed.
• Provide detailed and accurate change-of-shift reports to incoming staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Communicate effectively with other departments and ensure critical lab values are reported to physicians as per policy.
• Regularly maintain and restock emergency supplies and equipment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Additional Information

Candidates must be willing to work through the holiday season with minimal requested time off (RTO). Flexibility across departments is essential.
