Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our fast-paced unit specializing in orthopedic and neuro spine care. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience with a strong focus on orthopedics, and the ability to manage pain for post-surgical patients effectively.

Job Details

• Unit: General Orthopedics
• Patient Population: Orthopedic, Neuro spine, Med-surg, Post-surgical
• Average Daily Census: 37
• Room Count: 39
• Bed Count: 39
• Ratios: Expect a patient-to-nurse ratio of 5-6:1, with a maximum of 7:1 in extreme cases.
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (18:45 - 07:15)
• Call Requirement: None
• Float Requirement: Required to float to other med-surg units as needed.
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend required; missed shifts on weekends must be made up.

Qualifications

• Required Experience: Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, specifically in orthopedics.
• Traveler Experience: Open to first-time travelers with Epic experience.
• Skills: IV Start and Telemetry.
• Certifications: BCLS, NIH; ACLS and charge nurse experience are preferred.
• Note: Must pass EKG testing prior to start.

Contract Details

• Contract Length: 20+ weeks, available until February 27, 2027.
• Holiday Incentive: Locals accepted at regular rates during the holiday season.
• RTO Policy: 7 days max RTO for traveler contracts; note that holiday RTO is not approved.
