Shift: Night - 4x12 Hours (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)

The Medical Telemetry unit seeks a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care to patients in a fast-paced environment. This unit specializes in pulmonary, cardiac, and medical-surgical care for both adult and geriatric patients, ensuring close monitoring and patient safety.

Unit Information

• 16 monitored beds with centralized telemetry monitoring.
• Patient care ratios of 1:5.
• Focus on cardiac telemetry and adult medical-surgical care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with cardiac and pulmonary conditions.
• Monitor vital signs and assess patient conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent cardiac telemetry or telemetry nursing experience.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Ability to float within scope as needed.
• WV/Compact RN License required; can submit with a pending application.

Additional Information

• Orientation sessions conducted every other week on Thursdays.
• Weekend rotation required: every other weekend.
• Limited holiday RTO requests: no more than 1 of the 3 major holidays.
• Free parking available for travelers.
• Charting system: Cerner.
