We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Cardiovascular Medical Telemetry unit. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing care to patients with pulmonary and cardiac conditions.
Job Overview
- Full-time positions available: 3x12 or 4x12 shifts on nights (7p-7a)
- Weekend requirements: Every other weekend is mandatory
- Orientation sessions held bi-weekly on Thursdays
- Patient care focused with a ratio of 1:5
Unit Information
The unit specializes in pulmonary and cardiac care, with a total of 16 monitored pulmonary/card beds. This is a telemetry floor featuring centralized monitoring operated by a technician. The patient demographic includes adults and geriatrics.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of telemetry or cardiac nursing experience required
- First-time travelers accepted if experience requirements are met
- Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
- West Virginia or compact RN license required (can submit with a pending RN license)
Job Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate and comprehensive care to patients in a telemetry setting
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team
- Coordinate with physicians, technicians, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Participate in patient education and support needs
Additional Information
- Floating within scope may occur based on unit needs
- Free parking available for employees
- Charting is performed using Cerner
