Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to provide high-quality respiratory care and support to patients within a critical care environment. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively within a dynamic team to ensure optimal patient outcomes across various care settings, including critical care and general care for both adults and pediatrics.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver respiratory care and assessments in critical and general care units.
• Provide therapies and treatments based on established clinical guidelines.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members and contribute to comprehensive care planning.
• Support a variety of cases including adults and pediatric patients.
• Float between departments as needed to meet patient care requirements.

Schedule and Shift

This position offers a 3x12 hour night shift schedule, from 7 PM to 7 AM, with a rotation that includes weekdays and some weekends. Flexibility to float to various units is required.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical setting is required.
• Certifications:
  • Required: ACLS and BLS
  • Preferred: PALS, NALS for pediatrics
• Must be open to floating within the facility and between sister facilities as required.
• Pending state license will be accepted.

Additional Information

• Guaranteed hours: 72-80 hours per pay period.
• RTO restrictions apply; must be submitted two weeks prior for approval.
• Free parking is available for travelers.
• Charting is conducted through Cerner.

The position is within a Level IV Trauma Center and a major teaching hospital, promoting an enriching environment for both professional development and patient care excellence.
