Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing, providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Shift Details

• Day shift: 3 - 12 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive care to patients in a medical-surgical telemetry unit.
• Monitor and interpret ECG rhythms, ensuring timely interventions as needed.
• Utilize Epic charting for effective documentation and patient management.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans.
• Assist in the orientation and training of new staff as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in a Med/Surg Tele environment.
• Valid Ohio nursing license or a compact state license in hand.
• AHA or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
• Recent Epic charting experience (within the last 6 months) is essential.
• One recent professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty area is required for consideration.

Additional Requirements

• Must be available to work at least every other holiday.
• Completion of an ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation, with acceptable scores on both required.
• Locals are welcome to apply at the same rate as travelers.
