Description

Surgical Technologist - Operating Room

Job Description

The Surgical Technologist assists surgeons and other medical professionals in operating rooms and similar environments. Responsibilities include preparing patients, rooms, and equipment for upcoming surgical procedures, as well as providing assistance during these procedures as a vital part of the surgical team.

Shift Notes

This position operates on a schedule from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with flexibility to float between multiple locations. A response time of 30 minutes is required for any on-call duties.

Weekend Requirements

Weekend availability is required for on-call shifts, which may be scheduled up to 10 times a month.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) is required.
Experience in Orthopedic, OB-GYN, and General surgery is preferred.
Certification through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) is required.
BLS certification is required.
