Job Description
The Staff Registered Nurse (RN) will oversee the delivery of dialysis and care for patients. The RN will be responsible for educating patients, supervising Dialysis Technicians, adjusting treatment plans according to standing orders and care plans, monitoring patient outcomes, administering medications, participating in quality improvement projects, and collaborating with other members of the patient care team, including social workers, dietitians, and nephrologists. This is a chronic, in-center position covering multiple locations.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality dialysis treatment to patients.
- Provide patient education regarding treatment and health management.
- Supervise Dialysis Technicians during treatment procedures.
- Adjust treatment plans based on standing orders and care plans.
- Monitor patient outcomes and report any significant changes in condition.
- Administer medications and document appropriately.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license from the state nursing board or a Multi-State Compact Nurse license.
- Current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) with a Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers card from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1 year nursing experience.
- Previous dialysis experience is required.
- Prior experience in acute or ambulatory nursing is preferred.
Work Information
Must be willing to work at various clinic locations within the region. Flexibility to work any shift (AM/PM) based on staffing needs is required.
Shift Details
- Shifts can range from 10 to 13 hours in duration.
- Holiday coverage may be required.
