Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong nursing experience in a medical-surgical setting and be equipped to provide high-quality care to patients with various medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Document patient information and care activities accurately in the EMR.
• Administer medications and manage intravenous therapy.
• Perform nursing tasks as required to support patient recovery.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Float to various medical-surgical units as needed within the region.

Shift Details

• Shift Length: 12 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Schedule: Combination of day and night shifts with every other weekend and holiday required.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent medical-surgical nursing experience in a facility with at least 250 beds.
• Current ND or Compact RN License.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• NIHSS certification.
• Experience with Epic EMR.
• Willingness to float between multiple medical-surgical units as needed.
• Experience with neuro patients is preferred, but not required.

Unit Information

The primary unit is a 32-bed medical-surgical unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 4-5:1 during the day and 6:1 at night. The successful candidate will be expected to navigate a dynamic environment and adapt to the needs of various departments.
